Meet the team

Mel’s passion for hairdressing has been with her from a young age. Her ambition to be the best she can be has driven her career to become a salon owner. Alongside Zoe Mel opened Maze Hair in Thame 13 years ago followed by Maze Long Crendon in 2020. She has a wealth of experience from her dedication to her clients extending to on location bridal work. Specialist colour work is Mel’s other area of expertise having completed a colour expert qualification. Mel is highly motivated to make sure every client receives her highest level of dedicated service.

Zoe has over 20 years experience in the industry. She believes that beautiful, well cut hair is available to everyone. From classic styling through to more contemporary avant-garde work, Zoe’s passion for hairdressing has carried her through many experiences from working on live television through to styling the hair at a Miss World competition. Photo shoots and bridal hair awards are among many of her achievements. Zoe is passionate about helping women experiencing hair loss through medical conditions and treatment. She has trained with Trevor Sorbie’s My New Hair to deliver wig and hair topper fitting advice and support.  Zoe is also dedicated to training younger people joining the hairdressing world, overseeing the learning or our current apprentices.

Kirsty is an accomplished stylist who has a wealth of experience in colour work and has completed many training courses in cutting, colouring and long hair.

Kelly brings a wealth of salon experience to the Maze Hair team. Skilled in all areas of hairdressing, she has a particular passion for technical colour work. As a result creating beautiful, bespoke results for each client. In addition she has attended numerous advanced training courses in colour and balayage, ensuring her techniques stay fresh and on trend.

Meet Natalie – Executive Stylist
We’re thrilled to welcome Natalie to the Maze team! She brings over 20 years of professional experience to our Thame salon, where she works as an Executive Stylist every Monday and Tuesday. Natalie has collaborated with a range of leading brands and has completed numerous advanced colour courses, making her a true expert in her craft.

Specialising in bridal and occasion styling, Natalie has a real passion for hair-up and make-up. Most weekends, you’ll find her helping brides look and feel their best on their big day.

Outside the salon, Natalie is a busy mum to three girls. She loves to travel and is always up for an extreme adventure—her dream destination is Sri Lanka. She’s already completed impressive challenges like the 100k South Downs Way and the Yorkshire Three Peaks, with her sights now set on a coast-to-coast trek.

Hannah S is a full-time Premier Stylist based in our Thame salon. She began her journey with Maze Hair in 2017 as an assistant after completing her NVQ Level 2 in Beauty. So inspired by her experience in the salon, she pursued her passion for hairdressing. As a result she is now fully qualified to NVQ Level 3. Hannah is skilled in all aspects of cutting, colouring, and styling, with a particular interest in advanced colour techniques—enhanced by regular attendance at specialist training courses.

Hannah is a highly skilled stylist who began her journey at Maze as an apprentice, successfully completing her NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing. Based at our Long Crendon salon, she is experienced in all areas of hairdressing, including hair extensions and hair-up styling.

We’re excited to welcome Jessie to the Maze team! An experienced stylist, Jessie will be working across both our Thame and Long Crendon salons. She brings expertise in all colour services, cutting, and styling—ready to help you achieve your perfect look.

Harriet is a newly qualified stylist having recently completed her NVQ Level 2 hairdressing. She is usually based in our Long Crendon salon but is currently on maternity leave following the birth of her baby boy.

Louise is an apprentice now heading into her second year of training after joining Maze last September. She mainly works in our Long Crendon salon where she can be found assisting our stylists or practising her skills. Louise is currently looking for models to help her on her journey.

Kyra has joined us recently as an apprentice fresh from school. You will meet her in Thame assisting the stylists and perfecting her shampooing skills. She will soon be advertising for blow dry and styling models.

Ruby is the latest to join our team of apprentices, assisting the stylists in our Long Crendon salon. Having just started her training she will soon be taking models for blow dry’s and styling.

Michelle joined the Maze team in 2020 as an occasional salon assistant. Now salon manager, she assists Mel and Zoe in the day to day running of the salons with a special focus on marketing and social media.

Jane returned to Maze last year as a part time salon receptionist after moving away from the area for a couple of years. A valued member of the team we are thrilled to have her back.

Charley is a salon assistant in Thame, currently studying Beauty at college she initially joined us for work experience.
