Maze Hair Hosts First Parents’ Plaits & Ponytails Workshop in Thame

We recently hosted our very first Maze Plaits & Ponytails Workshop at Maze Hair in Thame — and what a fantastic evening it was! Designed especially for parents wanting to learn simple children’s hair styling techniques, the workshop welcomed nine mums and six dads for a fun and practical hands-on experience.

The session focused on easy kids’ hairstyles, including plaits, ponytails, braids, and simple buns. So perfect for busy school mornings, gym classes, dance lessons, and everyday styling.

After an informative hair care talk and styling demonstration from Zoe and Mel, our talented apprentices Louise and Kyra joined in to support parents as they practised their new skills. The workshop was created to help parents feel more confident styling their children’s hair at home. Therefore it was wonderful to see everyone’s enthusiasm, creativity, and progress throughout the evening.

February Menopause Event

Menopause Awareness Event

In February, we proudly hosted our fourth Menopause Awareness Evening, and this time we were delighted to partner with the Lord Williams’s School PTA. Bringing the local community together for an inspiring and informative event.

As a result, more than 70 women joined us for a positive and uplifting evening focused on key topics around menopause and women’s health. Throughout the event, guests learned more about HRT, sleep, fitness and nutrition, as well as beauty treatments and permanent make-up. And of course, Zoe and Mel were on hand with professional advice on hair changes during menopause.
At the same time, the evening successfully raised valuable funds for the school, making it a truly rewarding experience for everyone involved.

Following the success of this event, we are already planning another menopause awareness evening later this year. So, be sure to check our website regularly for updates and event details.

Facebook group

In addition, we are excited to be launching a new private Facebook group. Women will be able to connect, share experiences and access trusted information on all things menopause. This space will also help connect you with local menopause specialists and experts, as well as other women who genuinely understand what you are going through.

Our Third Menopause Awareness Event – A Big Thank You!

We were thrilled to recently host our third Menopause Awareness event in collaboration with the PTFA at John Hampden School in Thame. This time, we went bigger and better than ever!

With around 60 attendees, the evening was filled with inspiring talks, practical advice, and open conversations led by an amazing panel of experts. Together, we explored key topics including health, fitness, hair, beauty, nutrition, and more—all aimed at empowering women on their menopause journey.

Our Thame salon has an exciting new look!

We have just re-opened our Thame salon with a stunning new look! We love the new colours and new fittings, come and see!

We were closed for just over a week while all of the hard work was happening. With a new layout, flooring, colour scheme, furniture, and basins it is quite a transformation!
