Cutting & Styling
Our Cut & Blow Dry service includes a shampoo and conditioning treatment with a relaxing head massage, followed by a precision cut using the latest techniques and a beautiful finish with our milk_shake styling products.
Prefer a simpler option? Alternatively our Wet Cut includes the same professional cut with a rough dry instead of a full blow dry.
Colour Services
All colour appointments begin with a thorough consultation to assess your hair and help you choose the best colour service for your style and needs.

Please note: A skin test is required at least 48 hours before your colour appointment if you are a new client or haven’t had colour with us in the last 6 months. Colour services are only available for those over 16 years of age.
Styling, Blow Drys & Special Occasion Hair
Whether it’s a sleek blow dry or an elegant updo, we’re here to help you look your best. After your consultation, we’ll shampoo and condition your hair before styling it with our milk_shake products. We also use GHD straighteners, tongs, and curve wands for that extra polished finish.
Children’s Haircuts
We’re happy to welcome our younger clients too! Children’s cuts are priced by age and include a rough dry. In addition a blow dry can be added upon request for an additional charge.

Hair Extensions
For many people hair isn’t just something we style- it’s a part of who we are. It’s self expression, confidence and sometimes even identity. And that’s exactly why hair extensions have become such a powerful tool – not just for enhancing beauty, but often for restoring confidence and creativity. Allowing anyone to change their look instantly – adding length, volume or colour without committing to permanent changes. Whether it’s for a special occasion, a confidence boost, or to recover from hair loss or hormonal thinning – extensions give the client the chance to feel like their best self again.
The Consultation
Great extensions aren’t just about the hair itself. It’s about choosing the right technique, a perfect colour match and most importantly the aftercare! Every client requires a consultation, Hannah will talk through your ideas – looking at your lifestyle and your desired length and thickness. Trained in several methods of application, Hannah can advise which choices will be most comfortable, safe and damage free while helping you achieve your hair goals. Hair will be colour matched to create a seamless blend. All extensions supplied are 100% human hair.

The Fitting
Our Hair Extension specialist Hannah D is based in our Long Crendon salon. Recently trained by Belle Academy and is now ITEC/VTCT skills approved and certified. Depending on the method of hair extensions, fittings can take from 1 hour to 3 hours with straightening or curling the hair to finish off your new look.
Caring for your Extensions
Just like your own hair, extensions need care and attention. After the fitting all new clients receive an aftercare pack including samples of recommended products and an advice sheet. The better the care, the longer the extensions will last – and the more natural they will continue to look and feel.
This means:
- Using sulphate-free products
- Brushing gently from ends to roots
- Avoiding excess heat and using a good heat protector
- Avoid using conditioner and heavy oils near the bonds.
- When tying up hair, avoid tight ponytails and use silk scrunchies where possible.
- Regular maintenance appointments (8-12 weeks)

Hormonal shifts—particularly the decline in oestrogen and progesterone—can lead to slower hair growth, thinner strands, and reduced follicle size. As a result, many women find their hair feels finer, looks less vibrant, and becomes harder to style.
To help you feel more confident and in control, we’ve put together tailored hair care and styling tips designed specifically for menopausal hair.
Styling for the menopause

Shorter styles like pixie cuts, bobs, or layered lobs create the illusion of fullness.

For instance layers add body and movement, reducing the appearance of flatness.

Also avoid very long styles, as they can weigh hair down and emphasize thinness.

Blow-dry upside down or use a round brush at the roots to add lift.

Most importantly avoid excessive heat—use a heat protectant spray and a medium setting.

Changing to a side part can disguise thinning areas and make hair appear fuller. However a centre parting can highlight scalp visibility.

Consider highlights or lowlights to add depth and texture, giving the illusion of density.

Tinted root sprays can camouflage scalp show-through.

Over the past 18 months, Maze has been part of a team proudly delivering four inspiring menopause awareness evenings. With a focus on educating, empowering, and supporting women at every stage of their journey.
Each event has brought together women’s health specialists alongside trusted local businesses. Creating a welcoming and supportive environment focused on fitness, nutrition, relaxation, and beauty.
Following the incredible success of our first two evenings at our Thame salon, demand quickly outgrew the space. Therefore we were delighted to collaborate with John Hampden School and most recently Lord Williams’s School to host larger events. Each one welcomed over 70 ladies for an informative, uplifting evening — while also raising valuable funds for the schools.
